There are multiple types of wheels on vehicles. The most common are.

Steel wheels – these are largely budget-friendly, durable wheels made by pressing steel. Because they are steel, they are more malleable and can be repaired into shape more easily than alloy wheels when safe and appropriate. Alloy Wheels – Alloy wheels are made from a combination of aluminium, magnesium, and other materials. Alloy wheels can be harder to repair, but are far more robust over steel wheels. Depending on the manufacturer’s guidelines, some alloy wheels cannot be repaired, but others can. Refurbishment is also an option, subject to the manufacturer’s guidelines for surface non-invasive damage. Simply ask a member of the team if you are unsure.

Diamond Cut Alloy Wheels – These are Alloy wheels that have a milled surface. They are largely 2-tone in colour, with dark spokes and a shiny silver surface. They are becoming more and more common on vehicles because they look great. Again, depending on the manufacturer’s guidelines, some of these cannot be repaired, but some can. Again, they can be refurbished depending on the manufacturer’s guidelines, but unlike standard alloy wheels, refurbishing these wheels involves a multi-step process.
